We are thrilled to introduce Íris Lind Magnúsdóttir, the newest Minamo team member. Íris recently completed her BSc degree in pharmacy and she will be working on a collaborative research and development project between Minamo and VAS ehf. throughout the summer of 2024.

In February 2024, Vivien Nagy and Prof. Már Másson, the founders of Minamo, attended Silicone Expo Europe, the world’s leading commercial trade show and conference for the silicone industry, in the vibrant city of Amsterdam. Minamo’s team explored the latest innovations shaping the silicone sector and met with the global leaders of the industry. The expo served as an invaluable platform for idea exchanges and forging meaningful connections with the experts of the field. We are looking forward to the exciting possibilities that these newfound collaborations will bring to fruition.
In 2023, Minamo received the Sproti grant from the Icelandic Technology Development Fund. The substantial grant, totaling 20 million ISK (equivalent to approximately 135,000 EUR), has been designated for advancing research and development initiatives.
In June 2023, Minamo was invited to the 8th Shaoxing Challenge Pitch Contest in Hamburg, Germany, where Vivien Nagy, the CEO of Minamo introduced the company to an esteemed panel of judges.
In 2022, the project received the Science and Innovation 1st place award in two categories (Healthcare & Overall winner) from the University of Iceland.
